They mean so much to me!

Catherine, you are absolutely in my prayers. I, too, can relate to how unemployment exacerbates isolation. People don't know what to say, so they don't call or visit or send messages. I'm guilty of that, too. Thanks for the nudge to break out of my own circle of semi-isolation. ((((Catherine))))

And April, your own situation is such that you *should* be concerned for yourself. You, too, remain in my prayers. Please take extra-good care of yourself and your wee one as you continue to heal.

Thank you, everyone, for being a means of God reaching out to me. You're blessings, each and all!Psalmisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12844681463669483309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29493438.post-1162314549856877322006-10-31T11:09:00.000-06:002006-10-31T11:09:00.000-06:00Dear Psalmist. I, too, suffer from clinical depression and for me it is made worse by unemployment, financial strain and much, much anxiety.

It has nothing to do with being a faithful Christian. It has everything to do with being vulnerable and human. What part do my fellow churchgoers not get? I have felt isolated and no one calls or writes to see what's going on. We don't like to advertise our distress but at the same time we silently call out for help, and none comes.

I too am on medication, a new one but I feel no differently. I use an Indigent Patient Assistance Program for obtaining necessary medications. That's all well and good but it does not affect the loneliness or the isolation or the despair we feel and experience daily.

I am glad you are better however. It gives the rest of us hope. I have contemplated, not suicide, but a way "out" of the pain; sometimes I beg for Jesus to take me now, but then I worry about my dog and my rabbits; who would take care of them?

I keep trying and will continue to move forward however haltingly.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Catherine+Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04267544451078638468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29493438.post-1162312730479793272006-10-31T10:38:00.000-06:002006-10-31T10:38:00.000-06:00so glad to hear this. I pray you will continue to heal.
Thanks be to *you* for sharing your experience, Psalmist. I confess that I often live in a tunnel filled with concerns for my own experience only. Not good for a pastor. Thanks for widening my scope a bit!Aprilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02803049148666438704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29493438.post-1162275286777550352006-10-31T00:14:00.000-06:002006-10-31T00:14:00.000-06:00I pray, each week in worship, for those who suffer...I pray, each week in worship, for those who suffer from depression.
