I like your hymn selections.

I was thinking of a non-existent piece for my anthem; we have a Lojeski arrangement of Just a Closer Walk with Thee. So since my dear friend "Sister Pianist" improvises quite well from a keyboard reduction, we're simply going to sing the Hymnal version of "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" with her playing an improvisational accompaniment. Tried it tonight (with a WAAAAY-small group, durnit) and it worked well.Psalmisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12844681463669483309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29493438.post-46158868696475997632008-08-06T12:01:00.000-05:002008-08-06T12:01:00.000-05:00I'm planning on opening withUMH 114 - Many Gift, O...I'm planning on opening with
UMH 114 - Many Gift, One Spirit

We always sing our prayer for illumination (Spirit of the Living God)

Middle Hymn - You Are Mine (TFWS 2218)

Closing Hymn - Here I Am, Lord (UMH 593)Katie Z.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01143363139786424632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29493438.post-90482546808429487702008-08-03T22:43:00.000-05:002008-08-03T22:43:00.000-05:00For my early service (more casual than contemporar...For my early service (more casual than contemporary, but it's contemporary for us), we'll be doing a medley of "More Love, More Power" (Smith) and "Open the Eyes of My Heart" (Baloche). In this service, it's a short medley of singing that opens the half-hour worship service.Psalmisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12844681463669483309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29493438.post-86612616173437527152008-08-03T20:58:00.000-05:002008-08-03T20:58:00.000-05:00Our pastor is preaching from the Gospel lesson and...Our pastor is preaching from the Gospel lesson and the overarching theme for August is one of community.

My chancel choir will be singing "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" (arr.
