Bread of the world, in mercy broken,
Wine of the soul, in mercy shed,
By whom the words of life were spoken,
And in whose death our sins are dead.
Look on the heart by sorrow broken,
Look on the tears by sinners shed;
And be thy feast to us the token,
That by thy grace our souls are fed.

I appreciate so much that you've been reading, April, and am glad that it's blessed you.
I'm actually wondering if I could manage to post a commendable hymn a day for a while longer. I like to think I could do it for an entire year--there are fabulous hymns out there--but am a little concerned about my commitment level. Notice I've blogged almost nothing else since Lent began.
But then, whatever else I might have blogged, wouldn't have been as good!
Thanks for prompting me to think more about this, April. I think I'll at least do the week or two following Easter, at any rate.
